The Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) has named seniors Grace O’Sullivan (Adams House) and Chibuikem Uche (Currier House) as the 2023 David and Mimi Aloian Memorial Scholars for thoughtful leadership and enriching the quality of life in their Houses.

House Committee co-chair Uche, of Dallas, organized Quad formals and watch parties, created award-winning Housing Day videos, and served as captain of various intramural teams. Noticing that Sunday evenings were often anxiety-inducing, he also coordinated dining hall “food drops” from various restaurants to encourage people to gather and study as a community. He is also a Harvard Global Health Ambassador.

O’Sullivan, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, became House Committee chair as a junior, working on projects like making tailgates more supportive of female athletes and organizing film nights that built cross-cultural connections. She also serves as a peer concentration counselor and is a member of the Harvard Undergraduate Think Tank team, women’s rugby team, and HAA’s Alumni Engagement Committee.
